Th

... gone to a workshop or retreat that looked great on paper, but left you overstimulated and underwhelmed?

... felt over-managed by the agenda and barely had time to see the city outside the hotel or retreat center.

... learned some interesting things you wanted to try and never quite integrated it into your actual work or life?

... came to the event excited to learn something new, but spent way too much time listening to unexpected pitches, recycled strategies, or off topic rabbit holes.

Are you designing your retreats and events based on what you

don't want to replicate instead of the science of transformation?

Some experiences change us

Others disappear the moment they end.

The Difference isn't effort or intention. Its

design.

Designing Transformational Experiences is a live training focused on the conditions that support real, lasting change, and how those conditions are shaped (or undermined) by the experiences we design.

This training draws from coaching psychology, behavior change theory, and real-world leadership and facilitation practice to help you understand why people engage, apply, and integrate... or don’t.

If you design online or in-person events or retreats for people in any capacity, this training will sharpen how you think about your work.

I'm a former professor with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre, a Master's in Psychology with a specialization in Social Change and Public Administration, and I have completed my PhD coursework in Social Psychology.

This workshop draws on more than two decades of designing transformational experiences across education, business, personal development, and culture, with the goal of shifting how we live, learn, work, and lead.

In this training, I’ll teach how experiences work, what helps people engage, and how to apply what they learn, leaving with momentum instead of just inspiration.

We’ll cover:

  • The conditions for change
What helps people show up, stay engaged, and do something with what they’ve learned, and what shuts that down.

  • From learning to doing
How people move from insight to action, and why so many experiences stop at awareness instead of application.

  • Power, agency, and experience design
How facilitation choices shape whether people feel empowered, capable, and engaged, or passive, overwhelmed, and managed.

  • Structure that supports outcomes
How to design agendas and experiences that create momentum without over-controlling people’s time or energy.

These principles apply across coaching, leadership programs, workshops, retreats, meetings, and in-person events.
