Six days of uninterrupted work and intentional pace, designed to support creative capacity, clarity, and aligned momentum. Twelve months of support.

I created The Residency as an intimate, facilitated work space grounded in a liberatory approach to work, and as a response to the kinds of retreats I never want to attend again.
You know the ones...
The ones packed with so much content that there’s no room to think, implement, rest, or actually enjoy where you are.
Retreats where stepping away to take a walk, sit quietly, or have a real conversation feels like you’re missing something important. Retreats that could be replicated in any ol' conference room, and have no sense of space or culture.
That is not this.
Our Residencies are designed with a clear rhythm: focused work, guided sprints, facilitated conversations, indulgent meals, long stretches of uninterrupted time, and lots of fun and laughter.
There’s space built in for rest, exploration, and connection, so you can engage fully without feeling rushed or over-programmed.
And the place always matters.
Each Residency is intentionally shaped by its location. The pace of the days, the flow of the week, and the experiences we build in are designed to honor where we are, making each residency a unique, unrepeatable experience.
Whether the work you’re focused on is thought leadership, coaching practice, writing, or a meaningful project that needs depth and attention, the Residency is designed to hold you in that work, so you can move forward with clarity, creative capacity, and aligned momentum.
You can apply to join us as a Residency Guest and participate in the in-person experience or apply to the full Residency Program for a year of support.
Over the course of the Residency Program, Residents will have access to:
60-min 1:1 coaching or strategy call.
10-months of group coaching.
Live 6-week thought-leader training course
6-day in-person residency that includes:
Facilitated work sprints and coaching touchpoints
Structured conversations about leadership, thought-leadership work, and aligned strategy
Long stretches of protected, uninterrupted work time
Space to rest, explore, and integrate
A small, thoughtful group of peers who value depth and autonomy
A curated experience shaped by place, care, and intention
This isn’t about passive learning or hustle in a beautiful location.
It’s about being well-held in your work, wherever the Residency takes place.
I’d love to welcome you into one of these spaces.

The Connecticut Residency
June 14th - 21st, 2026
Kick off the summer with me in my home state, and we'll spend our days writing, reading, eating, and sharing.
Although you are free to work on any project that is calling you, we will set our intentions around projects that involve writing - email sequences, a new keynote, marketing copy, developing your manifesto, writing your curriculum, and maybe even your first (or next) book.
This space is intended as a liberatory practice space, which means you are free to engage in as much or as little of the structured activities as you like. If you don't need coaching? opt-out! If you want to skip lunch with the group and head to the beach, we fully support you.
Part of this experience is about practicing your own agency and self-determination to help you step deeper into your role as a liberatory leader and culture-shaper.

Join me in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where we'll spend six days floating between beaches, deep rest, work spints, and indulgent Puerto Rican Cuisine prepared by a private chef.

About The Residency Program
The Residency Program was initially inspired by my own experience attending conferences, events, and retreats full of experts, sales tactics, marketing, and “talking at you” training, instead of the needs of the attendees.
This often looks like…
long days and workshop sessions where people present information about their experience or framework to teach you to do what they’ve done (whether or not their way is the best way for you).
an environment where you feel like you “have to” attend every session and be fully present, even though a topic may not be relevant, interesting, or energetically aligned for you.
feeling rushed through “hot-seat coaching” because the agenda has gotten off track - even though the personal attention is what you really wanted and needed in the first place. (not to mention having to watch hours of other people getting coaching on things that are relevant to you)
traveling to beautiful places with rich cultures and not having the time to leave the hotel or retreat location.
These kinds of events have consistently left me over-stimulated and underwhelmed as someone who needs lots of breaks, whose attention is difficult to hold if the content isn’t relevant or engaging.
Not to mention as someone who makes a lot of sacrifices to travel (kids, calls, finances, life), I need any time I spend away from home to be fun and restful, in addition to productive and meaningful.

When I thought about the kind of experience that I would want to attend, I thought back to my training in the Free School movement and principles of liberatory education and remembered that what we need most is space, and activating environments that spark our curiosity, and creativity.
That’s why this is not a retreat… it’s a Residency
Retreats invites you to step away from the day-to-day grind of your life and take a break from your work to gain perspective on it, a residency asks you to step into a new space and allow that environment to inspire it in order to access to depths and insights.
This requires expert-level facilitation and curation, abundant amounts of time and space for magical moments to happen, for work to get done, and for support to be accessed.
Because of the intimacy of this experience, enrollment in The Residency is by invitation or application only
Includes 6 Day/6 Night Residency and 12-month of support, coaching, and online training access
In person Residency only. Includes: Accommodations, meals, excursions, onsite coaching, pre-residency orientation, and one 30-min retreat prep call.
